The formulation consists of a fresh paste that is palatable for the indicated rodent species. The product does not alert or arouse suspicion in other members of the rodent population. BROMUS PASTA FRESCA contains a bitter substance designed to prevent accidental ingestion by children. BROMUS PASTA FRESCA can be used inside and around industrial buildings (including warehouses, depots, ship holds), rural buildings, civil buildings, homes, cellars, garages, storage rooms, gardens and relevant outdoor areas. The solution for eliminating mice and rats.
100 grams of product contain:
Brodifacoum: 0.0050g
Denatonium Benzoate: 0.0010g
Before use, read and follow the instructions on the product packaging as well as the information accompanying the product or provided at the point of sale.
Before placing bait, conduct an inspection of the infested area and an on-site assessment to identify the rodent species, locations of activity, and determine the probable causes and extent of the infestation.
Remove food sources that are easily accessible to rodents (e.g. spilled grain or food scraps). Also, do not clean the infested area immediately before treatment, as this will only disturb the rodent population and make it more difficult to achieve acceptance of the bait. The product should only be used within an integrated pest management (IPM) system, which includes, among other things, hygiene measures and, where possible, physical control methods.
Consider preventive control measures (e.g. closing holes, removing all food and water sources where possible) to control the amount of product consumed and reduce the possibility of re-infestation.
Bait containers should be placed in the immediate vicinity of places where rodent activity has been previously observed (e.g. walkways, nests, livestock entrance fences, openings, burrows, etc.).
Where possible, secure bait containers to the ground or other structures. Bait containers should be clearly labelled to indicate that they contain rodenticides and should not be removed or opened.
When the product is used in public areas, the treated areas must be marked during the treatment period. A warning notice must be available next to the baits indicating the risk of primary and secondary poisoning by the anticoagulant and the first aid measures to be followed in the event of poisoning.
The bait must be secured so that it cannot be dragged out of the bait container.
Place the product out of reach of children, birds, pets, farm animals and other non-target animals.
Place the product away from food, drink and pet food, as well as utensils or surfaces that may come into contact with the product.
When handling the product, wear chemical-resistant protective gloves.
Do not eat, drink or smoke when using the product. Wash hands and directly exposed skin after using the product.
The frequency of visits to the treated area should be at the discretion of the operator, in light of the survey conducted at the start of treatment. This frequency should be consistent with the recommendations provided by the relevant code of practice.
If bait consumption is low compared to the apparent size of the infestation, consider relocating bait points to other locations and changing the bait formulation.
If, after a 35-day treatment period, baits are still being consumed and there is no decrease in rodent activity, the most likely cause should be determined. If other factors have already been ruled out, it is likely that rodents are resistant and, where available, the use of a non-anticoagulant rodenticide or a more effective anticoagulant rodenticide should be considered. The use of traps should also be considered as an alternative control measure.
BROMUS PASTA FRESCA is a ready-to-use bait in the form of fresh pasta, to be used exclusively in tamper-proof, duly marked bait containers, protected from atmospheric agents, from ingestion by non-target species and from dispersion into the environment.
DOSES AND METHODS OF USE
Use inside buildings: For the control of the Domestic Mouse (Mus musculus).
Place 40 g of BROMUS FRESH PASTA per container, equal to 2 ready-to-use fresh pasta baits of 20 grams each.
Where multiple containers are needed, place them at a distance of approximately 5-10 metres from each other and in any case at a distance of no less than 5 metres. The containers should be inspected every 2-3 days at the start of treatment and then at least weekly. This is to check the integrity of the containers, the consumption of the bait, and if necessary to remove rodent carcasses. When necessary, replenish the bait. Follow any further instructions provided by the relevant good practices.
Use inside buildings: For the control of the Grey rat (Rattus norvegicus) And black rat (Rattus rattus).
Place 60-100 g of BROMUS PASTA FRESCA per container, equal to 3-5 ready-to-use fresh pasta baits of 20 grams each. Where more than one container is needed, place them at a distance of approximately 5-10 metres from each other and in any case at a distance of no less than 5 metres. The containers should be inspected every 5-7 days at the start of treatment and then at least weekly. This is to check the integrity of the containers, the consumption of the bait, and possibly to remove rodent carcasses. When necessary, replenish the bait. Follow any further instructions provided by the relevant good practices.
Outdoor use, around buildings: For the control of the House Mouse (Mus musculus).
Place 40 g of BROMUS PASTA FRESCA per container, equivalent to 2 ready-to-use fresh pasta baits of 20 grams each. Where more than one container is needed, place them at a distance of approximately 5-10 metres from each other and in any case at a distance of no less than 5 metres. Protect the bait from atmospheric conditions (e.g. rain, snow, etc.). Place the containers with the bait in areas not subject to flooding. The containers with the bait should be checked at least every 2-3 days at the beginning of the treatment and at least weekly thereafter, in order to check whether the bait is accepted, the containers are intact and to remove the bodies of the rodents. Refill the container when necessary. Do not apply directly into the burrows. Replace the baits in the containers if damaged by water or contaminated by dirt. Follow any further instructions provided by the relevant good practices.
