BROMUS RED contains a bittering substance designed to prevent accidental ingestion by children. BROMUS RED can be used in and around buildings such as homes, cellars, garages, storage rooms and private gardens. Before use, read and follow the product instructions as well as the information accompanying the product or provided at the point of sale. Consider non-chemical control mechanisms (e.g. traps) before using rodenticide products. Remove easily accessible food sources for rodents (e.g. spilled grain or food scraps). Also, do not clear the infested area immediately prior to treatment, as this will only disturb the rodent population and make it more difficult to gain acceptance of the bait. Bait containers should be placed in the immediate vicinity of places where rodent activity has previously been verified (e.g. walkways, nests, livestock pens, openings, burrows, etc.). Where possible, secure bait containers to the ground or other structures. Place the product out of the reach of children, birds, pets, farm animals and other non-target animals. Place the product away from food, drink and animal feed, as well as from utensils or surfaces that may come into contact with the product. Do not place bait containers near water drainage systems as the bait may come into contact with water. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using the product. Wash hands and directly exposed skin after using the product. At the end of the treatment period remove any remaining bait or containers containing bait. Do not open the paper bag containing the fresh paste. Do not apply this product directly to burrows.
Consider preventive control measures to promote product uptake and reduce the likelihood of reinfestation (e.g. block possible openings, remove potential food and drink sources as much as possible). Do not use anticoagulant rodenticides as permanent baits (e.g. to prevent possible infestations or to monitor rodent activity). Use of this product should eliminate rodents within 35 days. If ineffectiveness is suspected at the end of treatment (e.g. rodent activity is still observed), ask the product supplier for advice or call a pest control service. Check for dead rodents and remove them during treatment, at least as frequently as you visit the bait containers. At the end of treatment, dispose of uneaten bait and packaging in accordance with local regulations. Store in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Keep container closed.

BROMUS RED is a ready-to-use bait in the form of fresh paste, to be used exclusively in tamper-proof, duly marked bait containers, protected from atmospheric agents, from ingestion by non-target species and from dispersion into the environment.

DOSES AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Use inside buildings: for the control of the House Mouse (Mus musculus). Place 20-40 g of BROMUS RED per container. If more than one bait station is required, the minimum distance between bait stations should be 5 meters. Containers should be inspected every 2-3 days at the beginning of treatment and then at least weekly. This is to check the integrity of the container, the consumption of the bait, and possibly to remove rodent carcasses. When
it is necessary to replenish the bait.

Use inside buildings: for the control of the Gray rat (Rattus norvegicus). Place 100-200 g of BROMUS RED per container. If more than one bait station is required, the minimum distance between bait stations should be 5 meters. Containers should be inspected every 5-7 days at the start of treatment and then at least weekly. This is to check the integrity of the container, the consumption of the bait, and possibly to remove rodent carcasses. Replenish the bait when necessary.

Use around buildings: for the control of the Grey rat (Rattus norvegicus). Place 100-200 g of BROMUS RED per container. If more than one bait station is required, the minimum distance between bait stations should be 5 metres. Place bait containers in areas not subject to flooding. Replace bait in containers if damaged by water or contaminated by dirt. Bait containers should be checked at least every 5-7 days at the start of treatment and at least weekly thereafter, in order to check whether the bait is accepted, the containers are intact and to remove rodent bodies. Refill the container when necessary.

Due to their delayed mode of action, anticoagulant rodenticides may take 4 to 10 days after bait to be effective. Rodents can carry disease. Do not handle dead rodents with bare hands; use gloves or tools such as tongs to dispose of them. This product contains a bittering agent and a colorant.
