The product is composed of a special mixture that burns slowly and without flame, producing a persistent, dense, clean white smoke containing the active ingredient.

It is a smoke insecticide, based on Permethrin, effective by contact on numerous flying and crawling insects.

TARGET ORGANISMS: Adult individuals of the common fly (Musca domestica), the hornet fly (Calliphora vomitoria) and the mosquito (Culex pipiens), crawling insects, cockroaches (Blattella germanica, Blatta orientalis, Periplaneta americana), food insects such as Ephestia Kuehiniella, Plodia interpunctella, Lasioderma serricorne, the cat flea Ctenocephalides felis.

The solution to eliminate cockroaches, ants, mosquitoes, flies.

100 grams of product contain:

Permethrin: 13.50g

Potassium Chlorate: 13.5g

Talc: 53g

Wash hands and exposed skin before and after use. Do not use where food or food-producing animals are present. Do not reuse contaminated clothing. Do not store the product in a heated place. Do not inhale the vapours. Remove the product from surfaces where contact is most likely after the ventilation period (dry dry). Use indoors only. Avoid contact with contaminated objects. Use the product only once a week at most. Evacuate livestock before treatment. Remove all food, feed and drink before treatment. Remove any cooking utensils, cutlery and any tools that may come into contact with food/feed during treatment. After the ventilation period, clean the treated surfaces before reuse (dry dry). Leave the room immediately after lighting the smoke bombs. Thoroughly ventilate the premises before re-occupying, for at least 8 hours. Apply only in areas not subject to wet cleaning. Applications on trains or grain trucks must not be followed by wet cleaning.

Instructions for product storage: Keep container tightly closed in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, away from children, unauthorized persons, food or animal feed. Protect from direct sunlight. Keep away from sources of ignition and near extinguishing media. The product is stable for 24 months in the original container. Avoid storage temperatures above 40 oC.

Instructions for safe disposal of the product and its packaging: The product is not suitable for landfill. Incinerate only in facilities suitable for the disposal of toxic waste. Residues and empty containers should be considered hazardous waste according to local and national regulations. Empty containers, unused products and other waste generated during treatment are considered hazardous waste. Dispose of such waste in accordance with applicable regulations. Do not dispose of on unpaved surfaces, in waterways, down sinks or drains. Do not allow to flow into sewers.

When using non-disposable (reusable) equipment: Clean the equipment with damp paper and after cleaning, dispose of the paper used for cleaning in solid waste.
Environmental instructions: Prevent the product from reaching drains and penetrating the soil. If water or drains are contaminated, inform the authorities immediately. Since resistance is well known to be a potential problem, implement the usual strategies to avoid its occurrence.General advice is provided by IRAC (Anon, 1987).

The basis of the strategies for preventing the emergence of resistance phenomena for Permethrin are similar to those of other synthetic pyrethroids: Adopt Integrated Management (IPM) methodologies. Where possible, treatments should be combined with non-chemical methods, physical control methods and other public health measures, also taking into account local specificities (target species, conditions of use, etc.). Take into account the life cycle and characteristics of the target insects in order to adapt treatments. In particular, it would be necessary to identify the moment of greatest susceptibility in the life cycle of the pest. Where a prolonged period of control is required, treatments should be alternated with products with different mechanisms of action. Products should be used according to label recommendations. Always read the label or package leaflet before use and follow all instructions provided. The product should not be used in areas where resistance to the active substance is known to have developed. If it is demonstrated that application rates, correctly applied, do not provide the expected level of efficacy, the use of any product containing the same class of chemicals should be discontinued. Users should report if treatment is ineffective and inform the marketing authorisation holder immediately. Efficacy levels should be monitored and cases of reduced efficacy should be considered as possible evidence of resistance, always considering that sanitary conditions and proximity to untreated shelters may contribute to the risk of reinfestation. The product also contains talc and potassium chlorate. Although neither of these substances contribute to the classification of the product, these two co-formulants are mentioned because an occupational exposure limit (OEL) is available for both. The mixture contains Potassium Chlorate which, in contact with acids, generates toxic gases. The mixture contains dust; all organic dusts can create an explosion hazard if dispersed in air. Observe the precautions given in H & SAW Publication 22 HMSO 1973. Professional users should wear respirators and protective gloves when re-entering the treated area.

Close the area to be treated, closing doors and windows for no less than 4 hours.

  • Use a number of smoke bombs proportional to the area/volume to be treated. Place the can on a fireproof base. Never place in a confined space such as a bucket.
  • Place the smoke bombs spaced apart in the area to be treated.
  • Leave the smoke bombs to act for no less than 4 or 24 hours depending on the target pest species, after which the area must be carefully ventilated by opening doors and windows.
  • The product is intended for indoor use only and should only be used in environments not subject to wet cleaning.

It is indicated for the disinfestation (flushing and knockdown effect) of environments where wet cleaning is NOT carried out, in domestic areas (private homes), garages, cellars, attics and lofts, empty spaces (between walls) (use the 3.5 pack in 8m3 for the control of crawling insects), crawl spaces, manholes and similar, commercial warehouses, and in industrial areas such as industrial warehouses, containers, trucks or trains transporting cereals, electrical cabins or rooms with electrical equipment that are not subject to wet cleaning.
DOSES AND METHODS OF USE

Use inside buildings.
Houseflies (Musca domestica) and Calliphora vomitoria (Calliphora vomitoria) (4 Hours of Exposure): one 30g jar up to 950 m3 (The population reduction against Calliphora vomitoria could be obtained at a time interval of 48 hours from the treatment.)
Mosquitoes (Culex pipiens) (24 Hours of Exposure): a 30g jar up to 950 m3
Crawling insects (Cockroaches such as Blattella germanica, Periplaneta americana, Blatta orientalis) (4 Hours of exposure): one 30g jar up to 60 m3 (The maximum population reduction against Cockroaches could be obtained at a time distance of 48 hours from the treatment.)
Cat flea (Ctenocephalides felis) (24 Hour Exposure): a 30g jar up to 240 m3
