Urticant is an aqueous nettle extract, particularly effective in controlling red spider mites and harmful insects such as aphids, moths, flea beetles, and codling moths. Nettle extract also contains valuable substances such as formic acid, salicylic acid, and caffeic acid, which can help the plant resist attacks by pathogenic fungi such as powdery mildew, downy mildew, monilia, and gray mold.
