Characteristics

MOSQUITOREX is an innovative, ready-to-use liquid for the control of mosquito larvae and pupae in still/stagnant water. The product, based on oils and plant-based substances, applies a thin, uniform film to treated water bodies that spreads instantly and remains undisturbed by obstacles. The film's low surface tension prevents mosquito larvae and pupae from reaching atmospheric oxygen, which would drown them and hinder the egg-laying of adult females.

The product is free of active substances with insecticidal action and silicones, does not alter the chemical-physical characteristics of the water but constitutes a physical obstacle to the juvenile forms of mosquitoes and alters the reproductive capacity of adults.

Laboratory studies have confirmed both the product's efficacy (100% larval mortality in less than 48 hours) and its persistence (up to 4 weeks). Finally, ecotoxicological studies have confirmed that MOSQUITOREX poses no environmental risk as it is biodegradable.

Fields of application

MOSQUITOREX is suitable for application in larval breeding grounds in residential and urban environments. It is introduced into stagnant water and other still waters (manholes, drains, plant pots, containers, tires, gutters, septic tanks, cisterns and rainwater collection tanks, drainage channels, reservoirs, etc.) where mosquitoes could breed.
